Hali Watson (She/Her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland, and a Board Certified Registered Art Therapist (ATR-BC). Ms. Watson received her Master’s Degree in Art Therapy with a Specialization in Counseling from Seton Hill University in 2015. Her previous work experience includes mobile crisis therapy, children’s behavioral hospital, residential treatment, and school-based therapy. She has led expressive arts groups both in person and virtually. She currently works with clients dealing with depression, grief, adjustment disorder, ADHD, complex trauma, bipolar disorder, identity development, and anxiety. She is committed to anti-oppressive allyship and exploring ways in which systems have impacted marginalized groups. She is currently in phase two of becoming a registered Cognitive Processing Therapy provider (CPT for PTSD). Her foundation follows a humanistic approach, that by accepting without judgment, being empathetic, and genuine, the therapeutic alliance is what helps us grow. She is motivated to help others expand their knowledge of self through art and creativity. Creating art can help to reduce stress, reflect on feelings and experiences, find new ways of approaching our problems, and try something new in a safe, supportive, and confidential space. Ms. Watson specializes in working with children, teens, and young adults.
